Walmart is changing with the times -- reflecting the needs and desires of the communities we serve. Your Patterson Walmart will combine Walmart's traditional general merchandise with a full line of grocery items, all at our signature everyday low prices -- and upgraded merchandise and new products such as organic foods, electronics and other major household items.
Walmart has plans to build a store at the southwest corner of Sperry Avenue and Ward Avenue in Patterson as part of the Patterson Plaza commercial development. In addition to the proposed Walmart store, Patterson Plaza is currently home to a Longs Drug Store and a Taco Bell. Additional retail and commercial uses are proposed for future phases of the commercial center. In addition to the approximately 300 jobs created by Walmart, a fully tenanted Patterson Plaza is expected to create many additional jobs.
Your Walmart store has been designed specifically for this project site using special architectural elements that are environmentally friendly and designed to blend the building in with the surrounding area. The building design features a mixture of architectural features that will visually enhance the exterior such as gabled roofs, architectural pop outs, pedestrian pathways with trellises, sitting areas and articulated entry vestibules, all in contemporary earth tones. The final design is subject to the approval of the city.
Since this store cannot be built without the approval of the Patterson City Council, learn how you can help bring a Walmart store to your community.
